Welcome to YGF - Yugioh GX Forums. We've set a list of guidelines and ask that you take 2 minutes of your time to read and know them. If you have any questions or concerns please contact a member of staff.

Please note - We at YGF have the right to change these rules when and where we see fit. You as a member are expected to keep a lookout for new rule changes. A member of staff will always make an announcement regarding any changes of rules but after the announcement has been made public it is your duty as a member to follow them.


RULES

1.User names

*User names that involve sexual,promotional,illegal, or offensive slurs will be changed and removed right away.
* User names may not include excessive symbols (!$#%).
*User name Changes are permitted 5 times in a 3 month period per user. Please contact an Administrator if you wish to make a name change.

2.Advertising and Signatures

*Advertising is only permitted in your signatures
*Advertisements may not promote sexual,offensive,illegal or pornographic websites
*Advertisements can not exceed size 6 font.
* No more than 3 links may be posted for outside events in your signature.
* Signatures will be removed if they don't follow these rules.


3.Posting

* Do not post the same topic twice.
* Spam at your own risk
*Limit the use of foul language
* Do not post violent, sexual, drug ,alcohol, or website promotional pictures.
*You may only bump your topic after 3 hours of inactivity, and for a maximum of 3 consecutive bumps.
*Topics that have not been posted in for a maximum of 6 months may not be posted in again. If you feel the need to contribute to a topic that is older than 6 months we ask you make a new topic regarding the original.


4. Personal Messages

*All posting rules apply were applicable. Do not make or send chain PMs
*Report PMs by forwarding the PM to a moderator.

5. Staff Issues


*Talk to another mod if you want to contest another mod’s action
*Do not whine to a mod or admin about an infraction


6. Bans

*Do not evade bans
*Do not give your account to a banned member
*Do not rally for someone who’s been banned to be unbanned

7. Shout box

No advertising in the Shout box
No dueling in the Shout box
No post limit is required to post in the Shout box
Follow posting rules in the Shout box where applicable.


Suggestions

Read the Announcements and Important topics.

Most of the sub-forums have stuck topics which usually have rules (important), FAQs or other commonly used service, and topics that are popular. Make sure you look through each one of these before posting a new topic.

Use proper grammar

Use proper grammar when you can: This is a major plus. If you use proper English grammar, then it’s more likely that people will take you seriously. Using “netspeak” is not recommended, it also makes it harder for other people to understand you.

Use common sense: Remember, this is the internet. Make good judgment calls on what to take seriously, ask questions when you don’t understand what’s going on, and make sure to read posts so you’re not going into a topic blind. However, at the same token, don’t act stupid, don’t assume everyone is nice, and don’t act like this a perfect place.

Be patient: Allow a reasonable amount of time for something to happen. If you’re posting a question, don’t expect an answer within five minutes. Do not post right after your post whining that nobody’s replied especially. This results in a spam, double post, and possible a bump infraction.
